well its to the extent where my uncle set my camera up so it takes raw, which means from sensor to card, no compression. So if you take a black and white picture, its in color and you HAVE to put it into CS3 even just to make it a file any program recognizes and not just a Canon proprietary file.

I USED PHOTOSHOP! I changed the levels on the silhouette picture to make it completely dark instead of vaguely colored. Apparently in the annals of real digital photography Photoshop is not only allowed but completely necessary.
